Wat is Javascript?
JavaScript (js) is a lightweight, object-oriented programming language that is used by nearly all websites for scripting web pages. Next to HTML and CSS, JavaScript is one of the core technologies of the internet. JavaScript enables interactive web pages and is an essential part of web applications. The large majority of websites use it for client-side functionality, and it is supported by all major browsers. Modern web applications are built with JavaScript as the fundamental base for the transition of websites to applications.
What does a Javascript developer do?
JavaScript developers can tackle many other platforms and programming languages, since JavaScript is the most popular language with the richest module ecosystem available. It is used to create interactive web pages, user experiences and responsive front-end designs. Everything a user clicks, submits, edits or retrieves from a website, is directed by JavaScript.
JavaScript developers are responsible for the development, implementation and testing of a website, and can deal with many different programming languages that are involved in the making of websites. They are responsible either for the whole website, or specific aspects of pages of one or more websites.
