Wat is Python?
Python is an interpreted, interactive and object oriented, high-level scripting language. Python was designed to be very readable. It often uses English words, where other languages would use punctuation, and has less syntactic structures. Therefore it is seen as a language that one can master quickly. All these features make it the ideal language for scripting and quick development of applications on many areas on most platforms.
What does a Python developer do?
A Python web developer is responsible voor writing the server-side web application logistics. The developers implement and test back-end components, connect the application with other (often third-party) web services, and support the front-end developers with the integration of their work with the Python application. Their primary focus lies at the development of all server-side logistics, care for high quality actions and responsiveness on requests from the front-end. This asks for a lot of collaboration with the front-end developers, so they possess basic knowledge of front-end tasks as well. They often make use of other frameworks too, like Django or Flask, rather than solely Python.
