Wat is Java?
Java is a commonly used, object oriented programming language and software platform that runs on billions of devices, including laptops, smartphones, gaming consoles, medical equipment and many more. A big advantage of developing with Java software is its portability, since it’s a cross-platform. Code that is written for a Windows computer, for instance, is easily translated to work on a Mac. When the language was invented, the most important goal was “write once, implement everywhere.”
What does a Java developer do?
A Java developer is responsible for the design, development and management of Java-based applications. Because Java is used so widely, especially by large organisations, the daily tasks are quite variable. Also, Java is used for incredibly diverse purposes, which increases the variation even more. The exact interpretation of a Java programmer is therefore dependent on the project.Known websites that are based on Java are LinkedIn, Salesforce.com and Twitter. Famous applications include the Android operating system, Minecraft and MATLAB.
