Wat is Django?
Django is a high-level Python web framework that enables the quick development of safe and maintainable websites. Django was built by experienced developers and takes away a large part of the hassle of web development, so that you can focus on writing your app without having to reinvent the wheel. It’s free, open-source and forms the base of a large number of websites online.
What does a Django developer do?
Django stands out from other front-end frameworks by not being based on JavaScript, but Python. This means that a Django developer contains Python in his skillset, rather than HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Django’s primary goal is to facilitate the realisation of complex, database-driven websites. The framework focuses on reusability and “pluggability” of components, less codes, low linkage, fast development and the principle of “don’t repeat yourself.” It is less specifically focused on the front-end, because it can also function as back-end. Django developers often build a complete application, rather than just the front-end.
